With Nintendo finally having a console capable of 4K output, it seems like third parties will be there in droves to support the device. One such is IO Interactive, which during the Switch 2 Direct announced it would be porting Hitman: World of Assassination to Nintendo’s latest platform. While Hitman 3 was actually available as a cloud version for the current Switch, what’s notable here is that Nintendo faithful gamers will finally be able to play through 47’s global-spanning journey without needing to be online all the time. That and there will be some new themed content available for them.
Hitman: World of Assassination Signature Edition will include all three of the main Hitman games and their DLC packs, as well as the Contracts mode, Escalation mode, Elusive Targets arcade, Freelancer game mode, and “featured live content.” In addition to all of that, Switch 2’s specific features, such as mouse support for aiming (which will make this the best controlling console port), will be included. If you pre-order the game via IO’s website before launch, you’ll also receive both the “Signature Pack” and the “Quack Pack.”
While those titles don’t really mean anything on their own, they include a couple of new colored suits and items for 47 to use. The Signature Pack has a red suit with a white tie and a white suit with a red tie (clearly based on Mario) alongside a golden wrench and squeaky little mushroom. The Quack Pack, meanwhile, has a green suit and white tie (Luigi!) as well as a green rubber ducky. Hardly major content, but it’s still nice to have something unique for Nintendo Switch 2 players.
Hitman: World of Assassination Signature Edition will be available for the Switch 2’s launch on June 5th, 2025.
