With February coming to a close, it feels surprising to say that nearly two months of 2025 have come and gone. As each day passes, the exciting new games on the horizon come ever closer into view. The next in that lineup that has action RPG fans on the edge of their seats is Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. With less than a month until the game is finally here, there’s no better news to hear than that a brand-new overview trailer was shown off, giving a closer look at the alien adventure coming later this spring.
All throughout the trailer it’s easy to see what makes Xenoblade Chronicles X the fan-favorite it is. The breathtaking scenery across Planet Mira looks even better than it did in the original, which was already an outstanding game visually. With a completely open world full of areas to explore and alien creatures of all sorts to see, there’s no shortage of fun to be had. The gameplay fundamentals remain largely similar to the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise as a whole, with Arts used in battle being the key. Of course, Xenoblade Chronicles X has its own unique aspects, the most notable being the Skells. These mech suits allow the player to travel around and fight in them, granting even more areas to explore and gameplay depth as a whole.
The video wraps up with a reminder of the March 20th release date, but that’s not all. A quick sneak peek at the brand-new expansion for the game gets shown off right at the very end, featuring a new story and areas to experience. Pre-orders for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition are available right now, and with the release date less than a month away, be sure not to forget. The complete Xenoblade Chronicles series will soon be available entirely on the Nintendo Switch, so if you are new to the franchise and enjoy your time with X, give the other games a try as well!
