The start of 2025 has seen more Switch 2 leaks than the last couple of months combined. After a new patent mentioned upscaling technology for Nintendo’s upcoming device and a leak of the Switch 2 Joy-Con showed an optical sensor on the controller, this latest photo dump shows us a photo of the alleged dock for Nintendo’s next-gen system. Shared by Laura Kate Dale over on Bluesky, we have what could be our first look at the final retail version of the Switch 2’s dock, and… it certainly looks like a piece of molded plastic.
This is a new photo I have recieved from a trusted source showing a Switch 2 Dock, featuring visible input and output voltage information (other information obscured). In addition, I have learned that the Switch 2 ships with a 60W charger for use with the dock.

On its own, the image isn’t all that exciting. It supposedly shows the back of the dock with some vents for heat output and some technical information engraved into it. As for how powerful the Switch 2 might be, the dock does mention that it has an input voltage of 20V and an output voltage of 15V, which is greater than the current device. Dale also states that the charging cable that ships with the Switch 2 will be a 60-watt cable, which is double what the current Switch uses.
As for what else we can tell from the photo, there is a strange protrusion in the top right of the picture that actually lines up with a previous leak we’ve seen. Just a few weeks ago, pictures of the alleged Switch 2 dock were shared by NextHandheld on Twitter and they match what Dale has leaked. That knub is likely a connector for a backplate cover that will hide any wires plugged into the dock, similar to how the current Switch dock has a door on its back.
With so many different leaks all seemingly confirming each other, it stands to reason that these photos are legitimate. I highly doubt that two completely unrelated individuals would be colluding with each other to break Switch 2 news. What this all shows, however, is that Nintendo should really consider pushing up the reveal of its console before we learn absolutely everything it has to offer.
