I’m sure many of you, like me, have had a busy holiday season and may have missed some truly important things. That’s right — I’m talking about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Terra Raid battles! Right now, a shiny Rayquaza is available in 5-Star Terra Raids, but you only have until January 5th, 2025, to add it to your Pokédex. Here’s everything you need to know.
Shiny Rayquaza Availability: Shiny Ray will only appear as a Dragon Terra Type in 5-Star Raids until January 5, 2025.
Catch Limit: You can catch Shiny Rayquaza only once per save file. However, you can continue participating in the raids to earn other in-game rewards even after catching it.
Strategy Tips: Be warned—this Pokémon is a tough opponent! To increase your chances, stock up on strong Fairy-type Pokémon to exploit its Dragon typing. Personally, I used a maxed-out Sylveon and Gardevoir, but feel free to mix and match based on your lineup. Additionally, a group stacked with strong Fairy or Steel types will significantly improve your odds, so coordinate with friends and do some prep work before diving in.
