It was confirmed today that Pokémon Horizons will be returning for a second season, exclusively on Netflix! Season 2 of Horizons will debut on February 7th, 2025. As has been the case since Journeys debuted on the platform, the season will most likely be split into parts with about 12 episodes per part.

Pokémon Horizons is the first Pokémon animated series in over 25 years to not feature the title character Ash Ketchum, instead featuring two brand-new characters, Liko and Roy. Parts 1-3 of the first season of Horizons are available on Netflix if you want to catch up before the Season 2 Premiere, with Part 4 releasing on November 22nd.

What do we know about Season 2 of Pokémon Horizons?

Season 2 is titled “The Search for Laqua” and will have Liko and Roy on the hunt for the Six Hero Pokémon in their quest to find the ancient land Laqua. A teaser trailer has also been released for the upcoming season!

Horizons was a fresh new take on the Pokémon anime and very overdue. While Ash had been the iconic protagonist for 25 years, it feels nice to see other characters’ stories. Do you prefer the adventures of Ash or are you enjoying Liko and Roy’s story? Feel free to let us know on Twitter!
