Every time a new Super Smash Bros. game is revealed, speculation for the new characters joining the roster quickly takes over the internet. It makes sense, many of the most exciting Nintendo reveals are Smash Bros. character trailers. Yet even with it having been over three years since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate received its final DLC character, excitement among the community remains strong. One especially dedicated fan known as King Bob even went as far as to fully animate a trailer for Skull Kid from Majora’s Mask joining the fray!

The trailer sets the scene of the moon descending upon the Super Smash Bros. universe, with a host of different characters doing what they can to defend against it or prepare for their demise. Skull Kid then appears and a quick snippet of gameplay is shown off, with him having the ability to turn others into trees much like Deku Butler’s son. After a quick scuffle as Young Link attempts to defend Isabelle, a surprising second character makes their reveal as well, Tingle! Who could have seen that coming?

If you’ve been missing the excitement that comes with new character reveals, make sure to check out both the Skull Kid trailer and King Bob’s YouTube channel as a whole. They have a whole host of top-notch animations, including more trailers for characters like Isaac, Waluigi, and Bandana Dee. If you’re sitting here in awe wishing these reveals were real, hold on to that hope; the director of the Super Smash Bros. series recently announced that he has a new project in the works that may or may not be the next Super Smash Bros. entry.
