It feels like an eternity since Nintendo confirmed the Switch 2 was real and would be announced no later than the end of the 2024 fiscal year. Many fans, myself included, assumed we’d have heard something by now, but unfortunately, we still know as little today as we did six months ago. However, while we wait for Nintendo to make its big announcement, it seems that developers are finding subtle ways to hint that they’re working on Switch 2 projects! Earlier this morning, Playtonic Games announced that Yooka-Replayee, the updated version of Yooka-Laylee, is coming to PS5, Xbox, and… Nintendo. Not Nintendo Switch, just “Nintendo.”
As well as PC, Yooka-Replaylee WILL be on PS5, Xbox Series and… Nintendo 👀

While it’s not an official announcement that it’s coming to Switch 2, it’s fairly obvious what Playtonic is hinting at here. If you don’t believe me, just check out the tweet above. Here’s hoping we don’t have much longer to wait for an official announcement. The ball’s in your court, Nintendo!
