Sony’s “State of Play” stream today didn’t just have PS5-related games going for it. In one of the biggest surprises for retro RPG fans, the Lunar series is finally making the jump to modern consoles in a brand-new remaster. Titled “Lunar Remastered Collection,” this unexpected package will contain the first two games in the series, which are Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.

While it would have been neat to see the handheld spin-offs get their shine, the accompanying trailer for Lunar Remastered looks incredible. It might as well be an entirely new indie RPG with how well the visuals have been translated. There will be full widescreen support and an entirely new English dub to accompany the story. The game will also launch with support for Japanese, German, and French.

Developer GungHo hasn’t given many details but promises that LUNAR Remastered Collection will be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch, and Steam sometime in 2025.
