Mario & Luigi: Brothership is set to launch in just over two months, and Nintendo of Japan is starting to release new information, including a few brand-new videos and pics showcasing the game’s combat system and enemies!

First, let’s dive into the game’s combat:

Combination Attacks

Mario and Luigi can unleash their standard “hammer” and “jump” attacks to deal damage. These basic attacks can be enhanced into powerful “Combination Attacks” by timing your button presses correctly. Mastering the timing for these attacks can significantly boost their effectiveness, allowing players to unleash a world of hurt the enemies!

Brother Attacks

“Brother Attacks” are advanced techniques that consume Brother Points (BP) and can deal massive damage to enemies.  There are several types of Brother Attacks, each with its unique effects:

  • Red Shell: This classic attack is known for its ability to inflict massive damage on a single enemy. It’s particularly effective during boss battles where dealing high damage to one target is crucial.
  • Thunder Dynamo: In this attack, Mario and Luigi alternate generating and striking with electricity to unleash a powerful lightning storm. Thunder Dynamo is especially useful in regular battles, as it targets all enemies and can help manage large groups of foes.

Choosing the right command and technique for each situation is a crucial key for victory in Brothership!

Enter the Boldrud Squad!

Mario and his friends face more than just island monsters; they also contend with the “Boldrud Squad” and a mysterious figure orchestrating events from behind the scenes. Not a whole lot is known about the game’s bosses, but stay tuned to Nintendo Wire for more details as we get them!
