Online service for mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will end support in November, with an offline version of the app to be released after.

Pocket Camp’s planned shutdown is November 28th, 2024 at 7 a.m. PT, while information about the upcoming offline version will be shared “around October 2024.”

The offline version will not require “constant data communication,” will be a paid app without in-app purchases, and will allow users to continue to play with their current Pocket Camp save data; however, they will not be able to carry over Leaf Tickets, the game’s paid currency.

The announcement was made through an in-game notice at 11 p.m. PT, which said the following:

“Thank you for playing the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp app.

We regret to inform you that online service for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will end November 28, 2024 (Thurs.) at 3:00 PM UTC.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported the title since service began.

We will continue to hold events and add items until the service-end date.

We are developing a version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that users can continue to play with their save data.

[App Summary]

  • Does not require constant data communication.
  • It is a paid app without in-app purchases.
  • Users can carry save data over by linking their Nintendo Account, but cannot carry over any remaining Leaf Tickets.

We plan to share details around October 2024, so we ask for your patience until then.”

The official Pocket Camp account on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted the following:

Pocket Camp Club subscriptions will also end when app support ceases and it will no longer be possible to enroll in a new Pocket Camp Club membership once planned maintenance begins on October 28th, 2024.

At this time, automatic renewal for Pocket Camp Club subscriptions will also end.

Players will receive badges in their in-game mailboxes depending on which of the three Pocket Camp Club memberships they were a part of, allowing them to continue to use their benefits until end of service.

Additionally, Leaf Ticket sales will end on November 26th, 2024 at 10 p.m. PT; however, players will still be able to redeem Leaf Tickets until November 28th, 2024 at 7 a.m. PT.

The upcoming offline version of the app will keep the same basic gameplay and controls, but any features requiring a continuous online connection (like Market Boxes, gifts, and visiting other players’ campsites) won’t be included.

To continue using Pocket Camp save data in the upcoming offline version, players will need to link their Nintendo Accounts to the existing app.

Players can do this by opening Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, tapping “Settings,” tapping “Link Nintendo Account,” tapping “Create/Link Nintendo Account,” and then registering their Nintendo Account.
