One of the most beloved aspects of the Animal Crossing franchise is the deep connection to nature the games provide. With a diverse host of fish, bugs, and other such critters to be found and to learn about in the games, it’s easy to develop a love for nature just from playing. It made sense, then, for a crossover to take place between the Animal Crossing series and a real-life aquarium, which is exactly what happened in Seattle late last year and early this year. In fact, it went over so well that the Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour experience is expanding to more locations during the rest of the year!

What to expect from the Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour

As part of the promotion, select aquariums across the US will host special tours that feature Animal Crossing-themed twists as part of the experience. This includes photo opportunities, placards with information presented by Blathers, standees of Animal Crossing characters, and meet-and-greet opportunities with Isabelle, Tom Nook, and K. K. Slider on certain days! In addition, guests will be able to receive 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points at promotional kiosks during the event.

Where will the Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour be taking place?

Right now a total of seven aquarium locations have been announced, which includes the following:

  • Ripley’s Aquarium, Myrtle Beach, SC (06/14 – 08/11)
  • Audubon Aquarium, New Orleans, LA (06/21 – 09/14)
    Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta, GA (08/01 – 09/26)
  • Oregon Coast Aquarium, Newport, OR (08/26 – 10/20)
  • New England Aquarium, Boston, MA (09/21 – 12/14)
  • SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium, Tempe, AZ (10/04 – 11/17)
    Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga, TN (12/21 – 02/28)

Tickets for the various events will be available via the individual aquariums hosting them, so keep that in mind if you plan on attending one of these!
