Today marks 10 years since one of my all-time favorite rhythm games, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, launched on the Nintendo 3DS. The sequel to the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Curtain Call was jam-packed with amazing Final Fantasy music, characters, and stages. Not to mention the absolutely addicting touch screen rhythm action! I can easily say that I’ve sunk more hours into this game than probably any other title in my 3DS collection.

It wasn’t until a few years later that I realized something quite amazing – a stunning limited edition 3DS XL was released in Japan to coincide with Curtain Call’s launch! “How did I miss this?” I pondered to myself. At that moment, I knew I had to import it, no matter the cost. This 3DS has held a special place in my collection ever since, remaining my all-time favorite limited edition console from that era.

So, in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary, I wanted to share this amazing little system with you all if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing one yourself!

Happy Birthday, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call!
