With no E3 taking place this summer, it is falling onto publishers to host their own digital events to spread awareness about upcoming titles. One of the mainstays of E3, Ubisoft, is back again with another edition of Ubisoft Forward, an event that is “clearly” not a replication of Nintendo Direct. With the company having launched Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown earlier this year and being a big supporter of the Nintendo Switch, we’re bound to get news about more Switch projects this year.

I couldn’t give you any ideas as to what might be revealed during the show, but I do think we’ll probably finally get confirmation about what is happening with that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. The title was announced almost four years ago and Ubisoft has been radio silent on it ever since. Maybe we’ll also see the announcement of a Switch 2 title. Ubisoft likes to be on new platforms on launch.
Ubisoft Forward 2024 will be a part of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest 2024. As we get closer to June, more and more publishers will start to announce their streams to fill in the gaps. A Nintendo Direct is practically guaranteed.
