If you’re in the market for a new desk lamp and are a gigantic fan of Pokémon, look no further than today’s newest item on the Pokémon Center website. In a collaboration with First 4 Figures, The Pokémon Company has commissioned a ludicrously cool-looking Venusaur rechargeable lamp. It’s maybe not the brightest thing around and probably won’t help you in pitch-black darkness, but that’s one stylish way to brighten up your day.

Retailing for an MSRP of $299.99, this lamp (labeled as a “figure”) is exclusive to Pokémon Center customers in the US, CA, and the UK. It will be a limited-run item and will not be restocked once it sells out. Here are the rest of the details per the Pokémon Center website:

  • Each figure is hand-marked with an edition number ranging from 0001/1050 to 1050/1050
  • Measures about 7 ¾ inches tall by 10 inches wide by 9 inches deep (19.5 cm tall by 25.5 cm wide by 23 cm deep)
  • Weighs approximately 6 pounds (2.7 kg)
  • Beautiful light-up effects can be powered by USB and activated with the push of a button
  • Detailed sculpted gas clouds rising from a sturdy base
  • Colorful paint and dynamic pose stand out in a collection
  • Designed by Pokémon Center, made by First 4 Figures

While I would personally love to see a Charizard version of this, Venusaur does make sense for a lamp. His weird giant bulb can produce light and is a perfect spot to put a lamp. This item is certainly niche and I wouldn’t expect most people to even understand why someone would want a Pokémon lamp, but fans will understand. Act fast if you want to secure one for your room.
