A little Summer Game Fest history
Summer Game Fest is going on its 5th year, beginning in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic as a replacement for E3 and Gamescom’s in-person conferences, later turning into the replacement for E3 after its cancellation. Summer Game Fest is notable for having some major announcements and trailers from the most hyped upcoming games, but it is worth noting that Nintendo has usually held off on reveals at the event itself, instead opting for their own Direct around the same time.
With the reveal of the Switch 2 imminent, it’s interesting to think if Nintendo will use this opportunity to show off the console to the world. We’ll only have to wait three short months to see what reveals will be shown off! What games are you hoping to see?
