With March only one day away, Nintendo has revealed the next big rivalry coming to Splatoon 3 in the form of a Splatfest. This month’s theme is centered all around music. The question being posed is what instrument you would play between: Drums, Guitar, or Keyboard? For those who already play one of these three the choice must be pretty easy, but for the rest of us it might be a bit more difficult to decide.

When does the March 2024 Splatfest start?
As of now the Splatfest sneak peek is not yet live, but when it is you’ll be able to pick your team and earn conch shells in preparation for the proper event. The Splatfest will run from 5 p.m. PT on March 22nd to 5 p.m. PT on March 24th. This is the first Splatfest following the release of the Side Order DLC, so the newly-revitalized playerbase will surely make this a good one.
Interestingly, this Splatfest features an entirely different theme in Japan. While the overseas players will be battling it out over musical instruments, Japanese players will be facing off for the glory of potato chip flavors. This is not the first time that the themes have differed between regions – it happens every now and then, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
