Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood is powering up for its 1-year Anniversary in a big way!

While it might be slightly overshadowed by the recent reveal of Japan’s Donkey Kong expansion or its counterpart in Orlando’s Epic Universe; fans in California can still look forward to some all-new fun for the area’s first birthday.

If you’re all about collecting, you’ll definitely want to come by starting February 17th. Heading by Guest Relations in the park will get you a complimentary 1st Anniversary button featuring Mario, while supplies last.

In Super Nintendo World itself, you’ll be able to purchase the previously Japan exclusive Gold Mario Power-Up Band! This one’s absolutely gorgeous in person and will catch eyes during your visit for sure. It’s the next best thing to adding a Gold Mario amiibo to your shelf – and arguably an even better grab for its in park functionality.

Grab a free pin and a limited edition Gold Power-Up Band!

The other addition will be a new restaurant in the park’s Upper Lot starting February 15th. The Power Up Café will open outside of Super Nintendo World, with Mario themed menu options to try. Hopefully this will help with the high demand, but there’s no beating a themed meal at the Toadstool Café.

The new food and drink items include:

Snacks:

Super Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom shaped calzone filled with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce

1-Up Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom shaped calzone filled with spinach, green pepper, mushroom, mozzarella cheese and basil pesto

Fire Flower Pretzel: Fire Flower shaped pretzel served with chipotle cheese, mustard and white queso dipping sauces

Super Star Popcorn: Butter popcorn topped with edible glitter

Beverages:

Drop in the Power Up sugar shapes to change the color and flavor!

Super Mushroom Fizz: Lemon lime soda with strawberry popping pearls and a strawberry Super Mushroom Power Up

1-Up Mushroom Fizz: Lemon lime soda with green apple popping pearls and a lime 1-Up Mushroom Power Up
