F-ZERO 99 took the world by storm when it was revealed. A 99 player battle royale that revived the beloved racing series after decades in the dark, F-ZERO 99 has provided me, and countless others, with hours of fun up to now. Having previously received updates that added new Grand Prix selections with multiple new tracks, F-ZERO 99 received a different kind of update last night, with a new mode entering the fray this time around.

CLASSIC mode recreates the type of races first seen in the original F-ZERO, with 20-player races where each racer can only boost once per lap, along with a few other changes to make the game play a little closer to the original. CLASSIC mode is available now, so make sure to boot up your copy of F-ZERO 99 to check it out!
