Nintendo has announced that it’s moving forward with plans for a live-action Legend of Zelda movie. In a press release from Nintendo Japan, Nintendo revealed that the film will be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad and directed by Wes Ball. The live-action Legend of Zelda film will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Miyamoto followed up the announcement with a series of tweets confirming his and Arad’s involvement. 

 

 

Avi Arad has produced several films over the years, including Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Uncharted, and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Wes Ball directed the upcoming film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and has previously directed all three films in The Maze Runner trilogy.
