We may be gearing up for Lego Animal Crossing and processing Shadow the Hedgehog as a minifigure but it’s worth keeping an eye on the Lego Super Mario sub-series of sets!

Two more have been revealed thanks to a German retailer (via Brickfanatics) and they’re set to feature some familiar faces. The first, Nabbit at Toad’s Shop, features the purple rabbit and a yellow Toad with a bunch of accessories. It’s a bit of an odd combination considering Nabbit is very obviously a thief but hey, thiefs have to shop legit sometimes.

The second set, meanwhile, is one for the Super Mario 64 fans. Penguin Family Snow Adventure features the mother and child penguins from Cool Cool Mountain as well as a Santa-hatted Goomba. For the play feature you can plonk your character on the sled and go for a ride.

Both of these sets are expected to cost €19.99 when they launch on January 1st, 2024.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
