Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, in combination with Legends Arceus, brought Sinnoh to the forefront of Pokémon over the past year. This has meant a big return for the cute penguin Piplup, who has shown up in more and more merchandise after previously becoming a staple mascot during the original DS games’ run.
Now a soft light based on Piplup is heading to Japan to join the previously released Pikachu version. These “Puni Kyun” lights are squishy to the touch and have three brightness levels activated by poking the little guys.
The Piplup light will be available via Takara Tomy’s Japanese store from tomorrow, October 21st, while the Pikachu light will return in December.
