Now, a trademark patent could portend something new, but it may also be basic legal upkeep. It’s also worth nothing that Tomodachi Life was known as Tomodachi Collection: Extra Life in Japan, so this may just be Nintendo covering their bases to make sure they have legal protection. This isn’t hard evidence of anything, but who knows? Maybe Tomodachi Life 2: Revengeance is the exact kind of killer launch app the Nintendo Switch 2 needs.
