Last week saw the Hatsune Miku/Pokémon cross-over, Project Voltage, kick into gear with the virtual idol being given five Pokémon trainer designs – Psychic, Grass, Fire, Water, and Electric. There was a brief break for the weekend but now we’re back in action with a new design based on the Normal type!

In the new artwork we see Miku accompanied by the Flying/Normal-type Pokémon Chatot, a fitting Pokémon considering its original gimmick was the ability to play back sounds recorded by the player. Check it out:

As for the artist, it’s megtany or Megumi Mizutani. She’ll be known by die-hard Pokémon fans for contributing a variety of trainer and Pokémon designs, such as Mimikyu, Tinkaton, Maushold, and more besides.

We’re sure to see more Project Voltage designs over the coming days so be sure to keep checking the Project Voltage website!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
