Do you have a Smash Bros. amiibo that you’ve been training up like a prized dog?  Nintendo Live in Seattle takes place during Labor Day Weekend, where on September 3rd players ages 10 through 16 will take place in a special Super Super Smash Bros. Ultimate “amiibo + me” exhibition. And for those who can’t make it in person, the event is being livestreamed:

Matches consist of team 2v2 battles with players and their amiibos on the same side. The bracket is single elimination and best of three, with items on, so it’s clearly more for fun than pure sport. Registration is already closed, so unfortunately prospective battlers won’t be able to participate, but you can catch the livestream starting at 3pm PT for Top 8. The winner gets a trip to Super Nintendo World, so the stakes are high!

Nintendo Live runs all four days of PAX West, from September 1st through September 4th.
