You may or may not be familiar with Lay Zhang (or simply Lay). Debuting as a member of Chinese-Korean pop group EXO back in 2012, Lay has become an international superstar both as part of EXO and in his solo work, Lay has become one of the most prominent performers working in the Chinese entertainment industry. And it turns out that the man loves Pokémon. Just absolutely adores them (his favorite is Snorlax). And now he gets to perform alongside them in a new song:

Part of the Pokémon Music Collective (an initiative where musicians utilize sounds from the franchise in song, previously featuring imase and ENHYPEN), the video consists of Lay baking tasty treats for the likes of Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and other friends. It’s full of cute interactions over its uplifting pop beats and dance grooves. Put this on for a group of elementary schoolers and they’ll start grooving, no questions asked.

We’ll be sure to report on other songs that come from the Pokémon Music Collective as they release.
