Last week saw the reveal of Star Ocean The Second Story R, a new remake of the classic PlayStation RPG from Square Enix. The company is already gearing up its marketing, sharing short clips featuring members of the game’s cast and their associated English voice acting.
These first two videos focus on the protagonists you’ll be able to choose from at the start of the adventure. First up we have Claude C. Kenney, a young officer from the Pangalactic Federation. He’ll be representing the game’s sci-fi angle…

The second video, meanwhile, spotlights Rena, who comes from a more fantastical world.
Rena Lanford has the ability to use the symbolic arts and mysterious healing powers.

You’ll be able to pick one of these at the start of the game and each features their own interactions with the party and more.
Star Ocean The Second Story R launches on November 2nd, 2023.
