While Pokémon Quest has only really maintained relevance in China thanks to an expanded version of the game being released via the region’s app stores in 2021, the game’s adorable, chunky style still has a universal appeal. The Cube-Shaped Pokémon on Cubie Island series of shorts got its start in China, too, but over the past few months they’ve headed to other regions.
The third episode has just dropped and it sees blocky Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Psyduck delve into a spooky forest. It’s very short, but very cute too. Check it out:
