Dokapon Kingdom can largely feel like Mario Party’s slightly unhinged counterpart. Trading in minigames and Star collecting for light RPG mechanics and property management, there’s nothing quite like it out there for one main reason.
You can, and should, absolutely ruin your fellow players’ day at every turn.
The latest trailer for Dokapon Kingdom: Connect encourages that kind of scheming. Fighting your “friends” can let you steal their hard-earned cash, but it’s the “lesser” rewards that really carry the spirit of the game. Want to demoralize your opponents? Rename them. Change their hairstyle. Draw on their faces. Never let them forget that you bested them.
