Unlike Sonic, he don’t chuckle – he’d rather flex his brand-new self-titled series of his own. Filming has begun on Knuckles, the spinoff to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie series starring everybody’s favorite red echidna.

Just as in the movies, Knuckles will be played by Idris Elba, who will be joined by the likes of Adam Pally, Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, and Ellie Taylor. The pilot will be helmed by the same director (Jeff Fowler) and writer (John Wittington) as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (the movie). More cast and details will be announced at a later date, including when the series will release. We await eagerly for more information.
