The Super Mario Bros. Movie is finally in theaters, showcasing Mario’s adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom. Of course, you can’t have a Mario movie without Bowser, and, apparently, you can’t have Bowser without a Bowser musical number. Now, I haven’t seen the film yet, so I’m not entirely sure the context, but rest assured, Bowser will serenade the audience at some point, and when he does, it will be all about Princess Peach. In conjunction with the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a music video for Bowser’s “Peaches” has been released, and it features Bowser’s voice actor himself, Jack Black.

Directed and edited by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade, the video sees Jack Black, in his best Bowser-esque attire, passionately performing his ode to Princess Peach at a peach-colored piano topped with a bowl full of peaches in a peach-colored room. It’s Jack Black at his best, going all-out in absolute earnest, and it is truly a sight to behold.

If you’re a fan of “Peaches” or any other song on The Super Mario Bros. Movie, make sure to check out all the offerings of physical copies of The Super Mario Bros. Movie Soundtrack from iam8bit, including a 7” vinyl record featuring “Peaches” and the “Super Mario Rap.”
