Out of the blue, Square Enix has confirmed that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series that spruces up the original six mainline RPGs will be releasing in a matter of weeks.
It has also been confirmed that the new PS4 and Switch ports will add a few new features compared to the mobile and PC versions. For starters, the much maligned font can be swapped out with a pixelated alternative, allowing for a more cohesive aesthetic. Various boosters can also be activated, such as increasing EXP drops or eliminating random encounters entirely.
