Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) has gone down in infamy, though plenty of the elements it introduced have stuck around. Sonic Channel, the official Japanese social media account for the franchise, has put out a piece of artwork for the month of April. These monthly art updates are usually familiar characters in cute costumes, but this latest one brings back a character most thought forgotten.

Yep, that’s a rather redesigned Elise ice skating. In the attached link you can also read a short story describing the scene – like previous artworks, it’s “Isekai Ogiri”, or “different world.”
We’ll just have to wait and see if this redesign of one of Sonic’s most infamous characters makes an appearance in the games.
