2023 is shaping up to be a big year for the Mega Man Battle Network series, with all of the original entries getting their own Legacy Collection in just a matter of weeks on April 14th.
There’s something else worth celebrating before that big launch day, though. The original Battle Network launched in Japan on March 21st, 2001, meaning today is the series’ 22nd anniversary. To mark the occasion, Capcom artist Keisuke Mizuno has released a new piece of artwork…

Mizuno first started working on Battle Network with the fifth entry, but this piece calls back to one of the earliest advertisements for the game, as pointed out by RockmanEXEZone on Twitter.

To celebrate, Capcom artist Keisuke Mizuno has drawn a new commemorative illustration.
