According to a translation by SatsumaFS on behalf of Nintendo Everything, Kyoto Shimbun is reporting that a 36-year-old woman has been arrested following threats she made to a Nintendo executive last June. The woman, who was taken into custody on February 9th, 2023, reportedly sent a package containing a bag of incense and documents with threats such as “I’ll kill you” and “Die Nintendo!” to the executive’s mailbox at Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters.
There has been no official comment from Nintendo on the matter, and the executive who was threatened has not been specified at this time. We’ll report back with updates as they come in, so stay tuned.
