Last night during The Game Awards, Keegan-Michael Key made an appearance to debut a new look at The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
In the clip, Mario is given a tour of the Mushroom Kingdom by Toad, voiced by Key himself. We see plenty of references, like the warp whistle and Crazy Cap store, but what we hear is even better. Plenty of iconic Mario themes are woven together, from Bob-Omb Battlefield to the Super Mario World course track.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie jumps into cinemas in April, 2023.
