The finale of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean has come to Netflix, and with it came an update for All Star Battle R. Some paid DLC, like the recently released character Risotto Nero, had already been announced. This time around, we get some freebies from Stone Ocean, though some will look familiar to anyone who played the original release of the game.
This take on Father Pucci, as well as the Kennedy Space Center stage, were both absent from ASBR at launch. This was almost certainly to avoid spoilers for the ongoing anime season, and it’s great to have them back — even if the other, initial version of Pucci still feels lacking by comparison.
The big get, however, is Weather Report (here called Weather Forecast) as a new playable character. He brings his stand, also named Weather Report/Forecast, to the game — including some techniques that truly stretch the idea of what “weather” is. For all you newcomers to the series I won’t spoil the most abstract of these, but suffice to say, you’ll never look at snails the same way again.
