You may or may not be familiar with the 3D billboard in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan — a fancy piece of technology that advertises many properties with some quite high fidelity video. Well, Pokémon is the latest to fill up the billboard’s space, celebrating World Cat Day with an advertisement that features some of the franchise’s most famous felines, promoting Pokémon GO specifically.

8月8⽇の「世界猫の⽇」に合わせ、ニャース、エネコなど、名前に“ニャ”と“ネコ”のつくポケモンたちが、本日から9月5日(月)まで #クロス新宿ビジョン に登場✨🐈

The likes of Meowth (Normal, Alolan, AND Galarian), Litten, Glameow, Espurr and Purrloin adorn the advertisement, along with perennial mascot Pikachu (who, being a mouse, you think would be more antsy about their presence). The ad will run for a full month until September 5th, far past the end of World Cat Day, though we imagine it’ll be just as cute and impressive even when the date rolls around.
Pokémon GO can of course be downloaded right now. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18th.
