Ready to enter the ring? Netflix’s anime adaptation of Bandai Namco’s iconic fighting game series Tekken has gotten a trailer roughly a month before its release, showcasing a blend of animation styles, faithful fight choreography, and more:

The anime appears to follow an adaptation of Tekken 3’s plot, starring Jin Kazama as he studies martial arts under his brutal and cruel grandfather Heihachi Mishima before competing in the King of Iron Fist tournament. The trailer falls into the usual Netflix trailer style, and the shady has a strangely ubiquitous triangular shape to it, but it also has moves and combos straight out of the game, a blend of 2D and 3D animation that’s actually quite smooth, and other bits of engrossing animation that have us curious to see how the full series shapes up.

Tekken: Bloodline releases only on Netflix on August 18th.
