The Squid Research Lab, the official Splatoon Twitter account, has another report on Splatoon 3. This time, the team is shining a spotlight on some of the new hairstyles that’ll be in the upcoming game. Check out the fancy photoshoot that was shared on Twitter:
Squid Research Lab here, bristling with excitement to reveal new hairstyles! These new looks for Inklings and Octolings are a follicular phenomena that—Pardon me. An intern SPRINTED in here waving some papers. Oh! It seems the “hair” is tentacle based. NEW TENTACLES DROPPED!
While these hairstyles are new for Splatoon 3, it isn’t our first time seeing them. The inkling braid in the first image (top-left, left, blue-purple) is what the “hero” Inkling sported in Splatoon 3’s announcement trailer. Still, this is one of the few times we’ve seen Inklings and Octolings posing and showing off these cuts without headgear and accessories blocking anything. They certainly fit alongside the mockup fashion catalogs that are posted on the official Splatoon Twitter account and show off the game’s various fashion brands.
You’ll be able to customize your Inkling or Octoling with the above hairstyles and even more when Splatoon 3 launches on Friday, September 9th, 2022 on Nintendo Switch.
