It’s only been a few weeks since the Nihilego, an Ultra Beast, appeared in Pokémon GO. Debuting during the worldwide, weekend-long Pokémon GO Fest 2022, many Trainers were thinking we’d see even more Ultra Beasts during Pokémon GO’s Season of GO. Niantic confirmed via the official Pokémon GO blog today that, yes, more Ultra Beasts would be joining the mobile game. While they’ll be appearing globally later in the Season of GO (which ends on September 1st), three particular Ultra Beasts will be debuting elsewhere.

Trainers who attend any of the three in-person GO Fest events will not only have first catching dibs on a particular Ultra Beast, but they’ll do so with Beast Balls.

The Ultra Beasts that will be appearing during these in-person events are Pheromosa (GO Fest Berlin), Buzzwole (GO Fest Seattle), and Xurkitree (GO Fest Sapporo). They’ll be available to catch via Special Research exclusive to the GO Fest event they’re associated with. Rhi (of the GO Ultra Recon Squad member) is still taking Professor Willow’s place and will be assisting Trainers during this research. It’s thanks to them that they’ll have some Beast Balls available during this adventure, unlike the GO Fest 2022 Special Research centered around Nihilego.

Paid tickets to each GO Fest 2022 in-person event are still available. More details about each event can be found on the official Pokémon GO blog and the dedicated pages for GO Fest Berlin, GO Fest Seattle, and GO Fest Sapporo.
