Game Freak’s first-ever westerner to design Pokémon, James Turner, has announced over social media that he has departed from the developer to form his own studio. With the help of his old friend Jonathan Biddle, the two have opened All Possible Futures and will be announcing their first title soon.

Below, readers can take a look at Turner’s announcement on Twitter where he of course shared a new piece of art to coincide with the info.

Over the course of his career at Game Freak, Turner designed many iconic Pokémon for Pokémon Black and White, Pokémon X and Y, Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. With developer Genius Sonority, he had also created all the characters and outfits for the Wii game Pokémon Battle Revolution.

During his time as a graphic designer for Game Freak, Turner acted as the game director for both HarmoKnight and Tembo The Badass Elephant.

Currently, All Possible Games has several job openings available on its website. When more details as to what Turner and All Possible Futures’ newest title is we’ll be sure to let you all know. Thank you for all your incredible contributions to Pokémon, James!
