There’s not long now till there’s a massive cross-over between two of Pokémon’s most profitable branches – GO and the Trading Card Game. Ahead of the latter’s expansion on July 1st, 2022, Niantic has detailed the mobile game’s part in the celebrations.

From June 16, 2022, to June 30, 2022 various events will be taking place within Pokémon GO. These include…

  • A Pikachu wearing a special TCG-themed hat will appear.
  • Mewtwo will once again appear via 5-star raids.
  • Wimpod and Golisopod will make their debut in the game.
  • Fittingly, these additions are also represented by new cards within the Trading Card Game itself.

In addition, various Pokémon GO TCG products will contain codes that can be redeemed via Niantic’s website between July 17, 2022 – July 31, 2024 to obtain unique avatar items or even Special Research.

Finally a variety of other cards have been confirmed, including Shiny Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.

You’ll be able to enjoy this cross-over content from June 16th.
