IMAX is about as grand of a viewing experience you can get, short of a planetarium (which is far more specialized). You’d have to possess a lot of money to be able to play video games on such a big screen (and the resolution would probably be inadequate) but now you can get the second best thing: video game trailers on the big screen. For IMAX has partnered with Geoff Keighley to bring Summer Game Fest to super big screens on June 9th.

In addition, IMAX will also show The Game Awards when those go down in early December. If you’ve ever wanted to see what a video game looked like when sized up to gargantuan proportions, this is your chance. And of course, if you would prefer to watch the events in the comfort of your home, snarking about them with friends or family (as I like to), you can watch them online for free. Whichever experience you’d prefer! … Assuming there’s an IMAX theater near you. If not, your options are actually limited. But either way, we can hope to see some cool games and reveals come June 9th.
