I can’t tell if working for Hallmark would be the least or most interesting job you could imagine. Like, on the surface, designing greeting cards and tacky party decorations seems like it would be mundane, but it also feels like the sort of business that would have Real Housewives level drama internally every week. And there are just bits I don’t get. Like. It’s April. Literally closer to last Christmas than next Christmas. And now is traditionally the time when they reveal their new holiday ornaments for the year. Okay. Alright. Sure, why not. The new lineup includes a handful of Nintendo ornaments, namely:
- Pikachu with a little Santa hat ($9.99)
- Eevee ($17.99)
- Yoshi ($9.99)
- Mario with Racoon Ears ($17.99)
- Bowser in a Kart ($18.99)
- Set of 6 Mario items (Mushrooms, Shells, Coin, and Egg – $19.99)
- BOTW Link aiming an arrow ($21.99)
- Personalized Mario ornament ($24.99)
- K.K. Slider ($19.99)
- SNES with Super Mario World ($19.99)
Wow! Perfect to put around your pine tree in… well, most of the ornaments aren’t available until July, with others releasing even later. Not that it really has any bearing. Why do they announce these about seven months before you would even begin using one? Idk. I guess Nintendo Directs aren’t that different. Though I don’t know who gets hype overload from a Yoshi ornament. You’d have to be outright drunk on holiday spirit — year round — to feel that. But who knows? Maybe you’ve got the soul. Happy Holidays, everybody.
