You may be familiar with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, an upcoming spiritual successor to the classic Suikoden series headed by franchise creator Yoshitaka Murayama — a title full of politics, war, and tons and tons of characters. That game is coming sometime next year, and we don’t have any news about the platforms yet. But next month will come an appetizer: the spinoff/prelude Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, an action-RPG with town-building elements (à la ActRaiser or Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin), is coming out next month — on Nintendo Switch no less.
ARPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, XSX, XB1, Nintendo Switch, & Xbox Game Pass on May 10!

The official Eiyuden Chronicle website states that Rising “weaves together the pre-war tales of various characters who will eventually become your companions in Eiyuden Chronicle [Hundred Heroes].” It also includes perks to people who link the two games, and implies that you’ll be able to carry some form of progress from Uprising into Hundred Heroes. It all sounds fascinating, and we’ll have our hands on the first part of the experience in less than a month’s time.
