In a matter of days you’ll be able to leap through time in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, and naturally the classic PlayStation RPG has seen a fair few upgrades in the visual department.

A new webpage posted by Square Enix Japan has compared these visual elements. Take a look at the two screenshots below, for example, with the one on the left being the original and on the right the remaster.

3D assets aren’t the only things improved, either, as character portraits and 2D background artworks have also been switched up.

These changes will be a toggle within the options for those who might prefer the original aesthetic when Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition launches on April 7th.
