With Pokémon GO Tour: Johto behind us and the Season of Alola well underway, Niantic is already prepping Trainers for its next big event in the mobile game. Announced on the official Pokémon GO Blog today, Pokémon GO Fest will return in 2022!
Once again, Pokémon GO Fest will be a two-day global event and have a bonus finale event. This year, GO Fest will be happening on Saturday, June 4th, and Sunday, June 5th. As for the bonus finale event, it’ll happen two months later on Saturday, August 27th.
Niantic will also be holding some in-person Pokémon GO Fest 2022 events around the world. Currently, there are three in-person events planned — one in Germany, one in the US, and one in Japan. Each will be taking place on different three-day weekends and none of them actually take place during the global Pokémon GO Fest 2022 event. The dates and exact locations are as follows:
- Friday, July 1, 2022, to Sunday, July 3, 2022: Berlin, Germany
- Friday, July 22, to Sunday, July 24, 2022: Seattle, WA, USA
- Friday, August 5, 2022, to Sunday, August 7, 2022: Sapporo, Japan
Niantic has yet to disclose if/when ticket sales will be available (along with ticket prices), yet mentions that “[u]pcoming events are subject to change.” Depending on the state of the world and the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person events could be cancelled.
For now, at least pencil in “Pokémon GO Fest 2022” in your calendars for Saturday, June 4th, and Sunday, June 5th, 2022 along with the bonus finale on Saturday, August 27th, 2022!
