From the creators of Bravely Default II and Octopath Traveler, Acquire and Square Enix recently returned to their stylization of polygonal three-dimensional environments and 16-bit pixel art characters with Triangle Strategy. To celebrate the release of their new tactical role-playing game, Nintendo has released a video featuring returning character designer Naoki Ikushima who elegantly showcases a quick “sketch” of the title’s two leading characters.
As can be seen in the video above, Ikushima paints Serenoa and Federica before they face their fate in Triangle Strategy. Accompanied by a piece from the game’s wonderful score and speed-up visuals of the artist’s creative process, fans can take a look at how the character designer paints just two of his favorite creations.
For a “sketch” piece, Ikushima’s work is rather incredible, to say the least! When more news regarding Triangle Strategy is released we’ll be sure to let you know!
