Happy Pokémon Day! To celebrate Pokémon’s anniversary, The Pokémon Company published a very special Pokémon Presents. Throughout the presentation, updates on various Pokémon games were given – some new and some old.

Pokémon GO’s moment in the spotlight was a new announcement, and it’s to say “Alola!” to some Pokémon appearing in the game soon!

Teasing the arrival of Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, it was also announced that Alolan Exeggutor would now be appearing in the wild in-game to get Trainers excited for the addition. Niantic even clarified on the official Pokémon GO blog that not only will Pokémon from the Alola region will be appearing in GO soon, but that the region itself is the focus of the game’s next season.

When the Season of Heritage ends on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 10 a.m. your local time, the Season of Alola will begin! More details about the Season will be shared tomorrow, Monday, February 28th. For now, Trainers can catch Alolan Exeggutor (and if you’re lucky, you may find a Shiny one) to chase those island vibes and good times.
