The highly anticipated, long-awaited sequel to the 1994 arcade hit Windjammers is finally here, and developer Dotemu went all out with its fully animated, heavily stylized launch trailer.
The animation presents the sport game’s 10 playable characters as they acrobatically flip, leap, and somersault their way to the frisbee.
For anyone new to Windjammers, the original game and its new sequel are played from a top-down perspective. Players must maneuver their selected character around their side of the court in order to block the disc from their goal zone, while also trying to launch it into the opponent’s side to score. The sequel features new characters, stages, moves, minigames, and an arcade mode.
Windjammers 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep an eye out for our review, which will be spinning its way in your direction later today.
